Would you like the chance to get your knitwear design in the prestigious London store Liberty and showcased on our pop-up catwalk shows this summer? Grannies Inc is an ethical fashion label providing cutting edge knitwear design hand made by grannies around the UK.
What are we doing?
We are holding a competition to find the best 5 (hand or machine) knitted vest designs from the most talented designers, crafters and knitters across the UK.s The best 30 designs will be showcased on our exclusive pop-up catwalks in some of London's hottest parks in July this summer. Catwalk shows will be run all day and both the public and our star grannies will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs. These events will be heavily publicised to press, bloggers and key members of the media in order to gain maximum exposure for you and Grannies Inc.
What's in it for you?
The 5 winning designers will each receive an £100 Grannies, Inc. gift voucher AND... Winners will have their designs pitched to a panel of top Liberty fashion buyers on 20th August in the hope of stocking the designs in this prestigious store. On top of this the winning designs will be sold on our Grannies Inc website, and produced solely by our team of talented grannies. The competition will be highly publicised in magazines, blogs and the media to gain you (and us) cracking exposure!
How to apply
Applications are NOW OPEN and close on the 18th June 2011, by which time you will need to produce a finished sample for use on the catwalk and in photo shoots. The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs at the catwalk events, on our website and through Grannies Inc social media. Final decisions will be made by the Grannies Inc team by Sunday 17th July. Please note that only winning designers will have to supply a pattern for their design.
